Commissioned art!
So, here I am blurring my identities a bit, but I'm excited and readers of this blog may appreciate this!
The phenomenally talented Allie Kleber, indie comics creator extraordinaire, approached me a couple of years ago to work on an erotic short comic for the anthology they were co-editing with some other cartoonists, Queerotica. Our piece, "Headspace", was published there--the digital comic anthology is available here, though unfortunately the print edition has long since sold out). Allie also did a follow-up comic responding to some comments about the chest binding in the story, which you can see here.
A few months back, Allie put out a call for commissions. I, being an avid fan of their art, leapt at the chance. I wanted a 3-piece series of pin-ups to do with rope, and I asked Allie to use the characters we developed for Headspace for it. We did a lot of back and forth about the rope design and about goals for the piece--as mentioned in my last entry, I'm particularly interested in art depicting process lately, and I think this series does a good job highlighting that.
Anyhow, I am decidedly delighted by the art and I hope you will click the image below to view the full set on Allie's tumblr and leave them delightful notes (or whatever it is you kids do on tumblr).
